following performances can be done as a special
event or as part of a workshop for families/adults
on the meaning of Advent or Lent. Workshops are
adjustable to fit the group and are from one to two
hours in length.

The
Spirit of Small Pine (Intergenerational)
A small pine, deep in the forest, wants to be chosen
as the Royal Christmas Tree. After many adventures,
small pine discovers that she will never be perfect.
A delightful story teaching that "living for the
sake of others makes us most beautiful in the eyes
of the Creator."
A
Winter's Tale (Intergenerational)
A young girl is sent to live with her aunt in the
north woods, while her mother recovers from an
illness. The girl learns the traditions and meanings
of Advent through the stories and life of her old
Auntie. An enchanting tale for all ages.
Waiting
With Heart (Intergenerational)
A highly impatient child has great difficulty
waiting for everything, especially Christmas.
Through her encounters with a lonely, elderly
neighbor, the young girl learns what Advent is about
and what it means to wait with heart.
Befana
and the Star (Intergenerational)
The story of an old Italian woman who was too busy
to join the Magi on their journey. An engaging tale
which invites people of all ages to rethink the
meaning of Advent, Christmas and Epiphany, and open
their hearts to following the star.
Advent
Reflections (Adults)
Using readings, reflection, discussion and ritual,
adults are invited to explore the season of waiting.
A perfect time out of the holiday preparations to
focus on the spiritual dimension of the season.
Epiphany:
The magic of the Magi (High School and
Adults)
Explore the traditions of Twelfth Night, the story
of the Magi and the deeper meaning of the gifts of
gold, frankincense and myrrh. This workshop includes
drama, discussion, ritual and a wonderful
opportunity to extend the Christmas season.

Eggs (Intergenerational)
An old woman prepares her hand-painted eggs for the
Easter festival
and makes a special friend of a truly unique goose.
This story celebrates the theme of new life and the
presence of God in all creation.
Lenten
Reflections (Adults)
Using readings, reflections, discussion and ritual,
adults are invited to explore the journey into the
desert, a wonderful way to focus on spiritual growth
and a new look at prayer, fasting and almsgiving.
